Mechanical Solutions to Vibration Loosening
The Optia range includes three distinct technologies that eliminate self-loosening caused by dynamic load with the application environment by delivering a mechanical lock far superior to a standard thread: Spiralock®, Spectralock®, and Wedgelock®. Spiralock® and Spectralock® use modified thread geometries to eliminate clearance between male and female threads, dramatically improving resistance to vibration. Wedgelock® uses surface ramps on the bold/nut head and washer to deliver consistent application of the sufficient clamp force to prevent relative motion.
